HFN Donates Relief Items to Flood Disaster Victims Across Five States in Nigeria

Humanity first disaster relief teams have been busy in the last three weeks donating food packs and conducting health camps in communities’ across Nigeria. The following communities were places where the HFN team donated food items Lokoja and Kotan Karfi in Kogi state, Ahoada in Rivers state, Bala, Bularafa and Bumsa in Gulani LGA Yobe State, Yenegoa- Bayelsa State and Karnaya in Duste LGA of Jigawa state Food items worth over 5Million naira were donated to over 5000 victims in these communities Other major highlights of the disaster response by HFN included provision of drugs and Mattress to the IDP camp in Ahoada Rivers State along with a health camp which attended to over 100 IDP’s. Health Camp was also held in KotanKarfi where over 150 displaced persons were also treated The Chairman of HFN Board of Trustees Dr. Habib while speaking at the event in Lokoja re stated the commitment of Humanity First to respond to the need of disaster victims all over the world. He encouraged the victims not to lose hope but continue to strive further and be better citizens of Nigeria. The Head Disaster Relief team HFN Mr. Abdul-Qadir Abdul-Rafi who coordinated the relief efforts thanked the HF USA, Canada, UK, and Germany who assisted with funds for the relief efforts he further stated that HFN will continue to respond whenever the needs arise He stated that over 100 volunteers worked collectively gor more than 250 hours in these communities to get the items ready and also distribute them to the victims The victims all expressed their happiness in receiving support from HFN in their time of need and they prayed for the donors
HFN Clothes Bank expands to edo state

HFN Clothes Bank has added another state to the states where her activities are felt by donating over 300 items to over 50 IDP in RCC area of Benin in Edo state The program which was anchored by the HFN Edo Clothes Bank state coordinator Mr. Yakub Mustafa who led a team of eight volunteers while to the event between 10am and 12noon on Sunday 16th April 2023 While speaking at the event the State coordinator stated that Edo state was actively collecting clothes for distribution to the less privileged in the society and the first set of clothes collected were sent to HFN Clothes Bank Port Harcourt centre for distribution and this event was the first time HFN Edo state will be having their own clothes distribution program which targets the Muslim Community who will soon be having their Eid as part of HFN Clothes Bank annual programmes The deputy leader in the camp who stood in for the leader of the community thanked HFN Clothes Bank for the gesture. He further asked for more support from HFN and other NGO’s to help ameliorate some of the challenges being faced by the community some of which includes water and training for the teeming youth and children

HFN Kano clothes bank Donates Ove 200 items to childrens Home It was all smiles for the children and staff of Nasarawa Children’s home on Saturday the14th of April, 2023 when they received 251 items from the team of HFN Cloth Bank Kano Centre during the Ramadan fast and in preparation for the just concluded Eid-il-Fitr The team of volunteers led by Mr. Abdussalaam Bisiriyu HFN Clothes Bank Kano centre coordinator and five others made the donation. While speaking at the event the coordinator thanked the management of the children’s home for giving HFN Clothes Bank the opportunity to contribute to the welfare of the children in the home, he further prayed that the Almighty will continue to provide for the home and also protect the children in their care. In his remarks, the head of the home Magaji gidan Marayu thanked HFN Clothes Bank for the donation and prayed that God will continue to provide for the donors He promised that the items donated would be put into good use Items donated included 100 girls’ clothes, 129 boys’ clothes, caps, and detergents
