
Humanity first disaster relief teams have been busy in the last three weeks donating food packs and conducting health camps in communities’ across Nigeria. The following communities were places where the HFN team donated food items Lokoja and Kotan Karfi in Kogi state, Ahoada in Rivers state, Bala, Bularafa and Bumsa in Gulani LGA Yobe State, Yenegoa- Bayelsa State and Karnaya in Duste LGA of Jigawa state Food items worth over 5Million naira were donated to over 5000 victims in these communities Other major highlights of the disaster response by HFN included provision of drugs and Mattress to the IDP camp in Ahoada Rivers State along with a health camp which attended to over 100 IDP’s. Health Camp was also held in KotanKarfi where over 150 displaced persons were also treated The Chairman of HFN Board of Trustees Dr. Habib while speaking at the event in Lokoja re stated the commitment of Humanity First to respond to the need of disaster victims all over the world. He encouraged the victims not to lose hope but continue to strive further and be better citizens of Nigeria. The Head Disaster Relief team HFN Mr. Abdul-Qadir Abdul-Rafi who coordinated the relief efforts thanked the HF USA, Canada, UK, and Germany who assisted with funds for the relief efforts he further stated that HFN will continue to respond whenever the needs arise He stated that over 100 volunteers worked collectively gor more than 250 hours in these communities to get the items ready and also distribute them to the victims The victims all expressed their happiness in receiving support from HFN in their time of need and they prayed for the donors
